Traditions

In New Zealand you have many different traditions. A tradition is Hangi. That means that you cook vegetables by burning them in the ground with a fire on top.

 

 

There is also a mid-winter swim. People are going to swim in the middle of the winter. Often dressed in silly costumes.

Pavlova is a traditional dessert. It’s not from the Maori’s. This is how it looks like:
